Dementia Care

Our Co-workers

We are committed to creating a community where our residents with dementia receive exceptional care; are respected as individuals; enjoy meaningful relationships; and share many opportunities to celebrate life. Immaculate Mary Home strives to provide structural and consistent support services and program modalities to our residents with dementia in order to promote the highest level of physical and mental functioning.

Program Goals

  1. Maintain optimum quality of life for the resident with mild to moderate dementia in the following functional categories:
    • Needs continual repetitive direction to function in.
    • A familiar surrounding, but can respond to instruction.
    • Needs assistance to function and cannot communicate verbally in a meaningful fashion.
  2. Maintain optimum comfort and provide the highest quality of life possible for residents with late stage dementia.
  3. Create a homogeneously grouped population on the third (3rd) floor of the facility to care for residents in the above categories.
